USS Wissahickon
The USS Wissahickon was a Unadilla-class "90 Day Gunboat" that was delivered to the Navy 12 November 1861 and commissioned 25 November 1861.
She was assigned to the West Gulf Blockading Squadron and participated in the Battles of Forts Jacksons & St. Phillips, the capture of New Orleans, and the attacks on Grand Gulf and Vicksburg. Wissahickon would be re-assigned to the South Atlantic Blockading Squadron on 8 October 1862.
