USS Winona
The USS Winona was a Unadilla-class "90 Day Gunboat" launched 14 September 1861, commissioned 2 December 1861 and assigned to the West Gulf Blockading Squadron.
She served primarily on the lower Mississippi River and remained in the squadron until she was re-assigned to the South Atlantic Blockading Squadron in February 1864 after a yard period in Baltimore.
