USS Winnebago
The USS Winnebago was a Milwaukee-class river monitor, launched 4 July 1863 and commissioned 27 April 1864.
She was assigned to the West Gulf Blockading Squadron on 9 July 1864. Winnebago participated in the 5 August Battle of Mobile Bay. She spent the remainder of the war in Mobile Bay. On 28 March 1865, she struck a mine on the Blakeley river and sank with the loss of no hands and was later refloated. She was put into mothballs on 7 September 1865 in Algiers, LA and sold on 12 September 1874.
