USS Tallahatchie (Tinclad No. 46)
The Tallahatchie was a sidewheel steamer purchased by the Navy 23 January 1864 in Cincinnati, outfitted and commissioned in New Orleans 9 March 1864. She served in 1864 patrolling Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi Sound. In 1865 she was moved to Mobile Bay to serve as a hospital ship until her decommissioning on 21 July 1865.
