USS Sachem
The USS Sachem was a screw steamer purchased by the Navy on 20 September 1861 and send to the Gulf on 17 March 1862. She was captured by Confederates at the Second Battle of Sabine Pass on 8 September 1863 with her surviving crew taken prisoner.
