USS Pocahontas
The USS Pocahontas (formerly the USS Despatch) was a screw steamer that was assigned to the West Gulf Squadron, arriving on station 18 October 1862. She remained until 19 August 1863 when she departed for Philadelphia for a yard period. She returned to the West Gulf Squadron on 9 May 1864 and remained on station until the end of the war.
