USS Monongahela
The USS Monongahela was a sloop-of-war that was constructed by the Philadelphia Navy Yard, launched 10 July 1862 and commissioned 15 January 1863. She was assigned to the West Gulf Squadron, arriving on station at South West Pass on the Mississippi River on 18 February 1863. She remained in the squadron until the end of the war.
