USS Miami
The USS Miami was a sidewheel steamer built by the Philadelphia Navy Yard, launched 16 November 1861 and commissioned 19 March 1862. She was attached to the mortar flotilla within the West Gulf Squadron and participated the Battle of Fort Jackson and Fort St. Philip and the Siege of Vicksburg.
Miami departed for Fort Monore September 1 1862 and was reassigned to the North Atlantic Blockading Squadron for the remainder of the war.
