USS Horace Beals
The USS Horace Beals was a barkentine purchased 14 September 1861 and commissioned 5 February 1862, Lt. Comdr. K. R. Breese commanding.
She was assigned to the West Gulf Squadron, arriving on station 23 February 1862 and remained in the squadron until the close of the war.
