USS Arkansas
The Arkansas was a steamer purchased by the Navy on 27 June 1863 and commissioned 29 June 1863, Acting Volunteer Lieutenant William H. West commanding.
Arkansas was assigned to the West Gulf Blockading Squadron, arriving on station 10 October 1863. She was tasked as a supply steamer between New Orleans and the blockading fleet of the coast of Texas.
The Arkansas was decommissioned on 5 June 1865 and sold.
